Rockingham Senior High School, Penrhos College's southern campus connections, and Kolbe Catholic College all generate October–November bookings, and the students tend to head to venues at Cockburn or Crown Perth. The foreshore precinct on Esplanade is genuinely beautiful for weddings — Point Peron nature reserve is 10 minutes further south and provides a wild, windswept coastal backdrop that coastal photographers particularly love. The Gary Holland Community Centre hosts major local events year-round. Penguin Island, accessible via the ferry from Mersey Point, makes for a unique pre-wedding photo excursion if the tide allows. Airport transfers from Rockingham head north on Kwinana Freeway — 35 minutes at off-peak, but we always quote 45 minutes for clients with early morning flights given the freeway can queue at the Thomas Road interchange.
